Our office can help Oklahomans request tours of the U.S. Capitol, the White House, and several other federal sites during your visit to Washington. Tour slots fill up quickly — submit your request as early as you can, and as far in advance as the program allows.
About D.C. Tours

Several federal buildings in Washington offer free tours that can be requested through a senator’s office. Senator Armstrong’s office maintains a single intake form that covers the ones we can help with — the U.S. Capitol, the White House, the FBI, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. You tell us where you’d like to go and when, and we’ll do our best to coordinate.
A few things worth knowing up front. Tours are free, but they have to be requested in advance — the FBI needs at least four weeks’ notice, and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing needs at least fourteen business days. They are not guaranteed; final scheduling sits with each building’s tour office and depends on availability, security clearance, and Congress’s schedule. And our staff capacity to coordinate tours is finite, so the earlier you submit, the better we can help.

Below are the five tours we can help Oklahomans request. Each has different lead-time requirements, different group-size limits, and a different office that runs the actual tour. Submit one request through the form and we’ll route it appropriately
U.S. Capitol
U.S. Capitol Tour
A guided tour conducted by the Capitol Visitor Center — the Rotunda, Statuary Hall, the Crypt, and the historic chambers. Free and open to the public.
Lead time: 2 weeks minimum, 4–8 weeks recommended. Hours: Mon–Sat, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
The White House
White House Tour
A self-guided walking tour of the East Wing and the public rooms of the State Floor. Tours are scheduled by the White House on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to last-minute cancellation.
The White House is not currently offering tours. When tours become available again, additional information will be provided here.
Holocaust Memorial Museum
Holocaust Memorial Museum
A self-guided walk through the Museum’s permanent exhibition — a three-floor historical narrative of the Holocaust. The Museum recommends the permanent exhibition for visitors age 11 and older.
Admission: Free timed-entry passes. Hours: Open daily, 10 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; last entry to the permanent exhibition at 4:30 p.m.
FBI Headquarters
FBI Experience — J. Edgar Hoover Building
A tour of the FBI’s Washington headquarters — famous case histories, SWAT and HRT equipment, the partnership between federal, state, and local law enforcement. About two hours.
Lead time: 3 months in advance. Eligibility: U.S. citizens or valid green-card holders only. Security check required, REAL ID for age 16+. Mon–Fri.
Bureau of Engraving & Printing
U.S. Currency Production Tour
A tour of the Bureau’s Washington facility, where U.S. paper currency is designed, engraved, and printed.
Lead time: Up to 6 months in advance; our office must submit at least 14 business days before your date. Hours: Mon–Fri at 8:15 and 8:45 a.m., year-round. Group size: Up to 10 constituents per day.

Good to Know
A few practical notes before you go.
Security
Plan extra time at every entrance.
Federal buildings have airport-style security screening. Adults 18 and over must show government-issued photo ID. Some buildings prohibit bags larger than a small purse and most prohibit large electronics, weapons, and food. Check the specific rules for each site before you arrive.
Accessibility
The Capitol and White House are accessible.
Both the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center and the White House provide accessible routes, listening devices, and accommodation for guests with mobility, vision, or hearing needs. Please note any accommodations needed on your request form so we can coordinate in advance.
What We Cannot Do
Some things sit outside our control.
Our office cannot guarantee a tour will be granted, expedite security clearance, or override capacity limits set by the building tour offices. We are also unable to book hotels, flights, or restaurants. We can offer recommendations — just ask.
