WASHINGTON, D.C. — Senator Alan Armstrong (R-OK) joined Alex Epstein’s ‘Power Hour’ podcast for a discussion on needed reforms to the permitting process for energy projects and the major hurdles that impede America’s ability to build – chief among them, the Clean Water Act. 

Section 401 of the Clean Water Act allows for a single state to delay or stop federally approved energy projects that serve the entire country. That includes pipelines, transmission lines, hydropower, and other critical infrastructure. This is one of the five key reforms Senator Armstrong is fighting to advance in a larger permitting reform package.
