WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Alan Armstrong (R-OK) today announced several key additions to his Washington, D.C. staff, assembling a senior team with deep experience across federal policy, legal affairs, communications, and congressional operations.

“I am proud to welcome these talented professionals to our team,” said Senator Armstrong. “Their experience and leadership will be critical as we work to strengthen American energy security, restore our competitive edge, and deliver results for the people of Oklahoma.”

The new appointments include:

Taylor Playforth, Legislative Director
Taylor Playforth joins as Legislative Director, bringing experience across Congress and two tours in the Trump Administration focused on energy, environmental policy, and permitting. Most recently, he served as Senior Director for NEPA and Permitting at the White House Council on Environmental Quality and as Deputy Under Secretary of Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy. During the President’s first term, he held senior advisory roles at both the Department of Energy and the Department of the Interior. He also previously served as a Senior Legislative Assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Christine Harbin, Director of External Affairs and Strategic Partnerships
Christine Harbin joins to handle communications and stakeholder relationships. She comes to Senator Armstrong’s office from the office of Senator Bill Cassidy, where she served as a Senior Policy Advisor overseeing a broad portfolio spanning energy, manufacturing, and trade policy. During the Trump Administration, she held multiple leadership roles in the executive branch, including positions at the U.S. Department of Energy advancing the administration’s energy agenda and at the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), where she led external engagement and helped launch a flagship program to counter unfair competition from China.

Elise Krekorian, Senior Advisor for Energy
Elise Krekorian joins Senator Armstrong’s office as Senior Adviser for Energy, bringing a robust background in federal regulatory affairs and energy policy. She most recently served as the Federal Regulatory Affairs Director for Williams. Krekorian also has extensive experience on Capitol Hill, specifically with the House Energy and Commerce Committee, where she served as Counsel and for the Subcommittee on Energy, Climate, and Grid Security. Her legislative career includes more than seven years in the office of Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC), serving in several key roles including Senior Legislative Assistant.

Alexandra Slocum, Policy Advisor
Alexandra Slocum joins as Policy Advisor with deep ties to the Oklahoma congressional delegation. She previously served as Policy Advisor and Subcommittee Staff Director for Senator Markwayne Mullin, and as a Legislative Assistant to Senator James M. Inhofe. She has also supported policy oversight efforts with the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.

Henry Kane, Policy Advisor
Henry Kane joins the policy staff as a Policy Advisor, following several years in the U.S. House of Representatives, most recently as Legislative Director for Chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Sam Graves (MO-06), and previously as a staffer for Rep. Kevin Hern (OK-01). Raised in Tulsa, Henry has deep ties to the state of Oklahoma.

Brooke Starr, Director of Operations
Brooke Starr joins as Director of Operations, where she will oversee the day-to-day management of the office. She brings a strong background in congressional administration and previously served as Operations Director for U.S. Senator Markwayne Mullin and as a Scheduler in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Courtney Trigg, Scheduler
Courtney Trigg joins the office as Scheduler, bringing extensive experience in congressional operations. She previously served as Director of Operations and Scheduler in the U.S. House of Representatives. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Trigg’s strong ties to the state will help ensure the Senator remains closely connected to Oklahomans.

Miranda Dabney, Deputy Communications Director
Miranda Dabney joins as Deputy Communications Director, bringing years of experience in the U.S. House of Representatives as Communications Director for Representative Kevin Hern (OK-01), the Republican Study Committee, and most recently the House Appropriations Committee under Chairman Tom Cole (OK-04). Raised in Claremore and a graduate of the University of Tulsa, Miranda has deep ties to the state of Oklahoma.
